Points out that the range of outlet temperature and the temperature difference between outlet and inlet water of a condenser is greater than that of chilled water. States the characteristics of condensingtemperature control and contrasts it with conventional differential temperature control. Concludes that condensingtemperature control is better in energy saving on condition that relative electrical power of the pump to the chiller is greater than 10% and easier in control than set differential temperature control. Also reveals that although the effect of variable condenser water flow on COP of chillers is negative and not negligible, it is less than the positive effect on pumps in energy saving.
